Moneta

Terms of Use

Effective date: August 6, 2026

These Terms of Use (“Terms”) govern your use of Moneta (“Moneta”, “the app”, “we”, “us”), a personal finance tracking app created by Ivana Lazić.

By creating an account or using Moneta, you agree to these Terms.

1. What Moneta Does

Moneta helps you manually track your personal finances, including:

  • income and expenses;
  • categories;
  • recurring payments, bills, subscriptions, loans, or other obligations;
  • starting balances;
  • financial plans and goals;
  • reports and summaries.

Moneta is a personal tracking tool. It is not a bank, financial institution, accounting service, investment advisor, tax advisor, or legal advisor.

2. No Financial Advice

Information shown in Moneta is for personal organization and informational purposes only.

Moneta does not provide financial, investment, tax, legal, accounting, or banking advice.

You are responsible for your own financial decisions and for verifying any important information, including balances, debts, payment deadlines, loan payoff amounts, and bank obligations.

3. User Responsibility

You are responsible for:

  • entering accurate information;
  • keeping your login details secure;
  • reviewing your transactions and recurring payments;
  • verifying payment deadlines and amounts with your bank, lender, service provider, or other relevant party;
  • maintaining access to your email account for password resets.

Moneta cannot guarantee that your financial data is complete or accurate if the information you enter is incomplete or incorrect.

4. Recurring Payments and Reminders

Moneta may allow you to create recurring payments, subscriptions, bills, loans, or other obligations.

These features are intended to help you remember and organize payments. They do not guarantee that a payment has been made or that an obligation has been legally settled.

For loans, credit cards, early payoff amounts, and similar obligations, you should always confirm the actual amount due with your bank, lender, or provider.

5. Account Creation and Security

To use certain features, you may need to create an account.

You agree to provide accurate account information and to keep your password secure.

If you believe your account has been accessed without permission, contact us as soon as possible.

6. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • use Moneta for illegal or harmful purposes;
  • attempt to access another user’s account;
  • interfere with the app’s operation or security;
  • reverse engineer, copy, or misuse the app;
  • submit malicious code or attempt to compromise our systems.

7. Availability and Changes

We aim to keep Moneta available and reliable, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted access.

The app may be unavailable because of maintenance, updates, technical issues, third-party service outages, or other reasons.

We may update, change, suspend, or discontinue features at any time.

8. Data and Account Deletion

You may request deletion of your account and associated data through the app or through our account deletion page:

https://ivanalazic.dev/moneta/delete-account

Some data may be retained for a limited time if required by law, security needs, fraud prevention, or legitimate operational reasons.

9. Third-Party Services

Moneta may rely on third-party providers for hosting, database storage, email delivery, app distribution, analytics, crash reporting, or similar services.

We are not responsible for outages, policies, or actions of third-party providers, but we choose providers that are necessary for operating the app.

10. Intellectual Property

Moneta, including its design, branding, text, features, and software, belongs to its creator or licensors.

You may not copy, redistribute, sell, or modify Moneta except as allowed by law or with written permission.

11. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Moneta and its creator are not liable for:

  • financial losses;
  • missed payments;
  • incorrect entries;
  • inaccurate reports;
  • loss of data;
  • service interruptions;
  • decisions made based on information shown in the app.

You use Moneta at your own discretion and risk.

12. Termination

We may suspend or terminate access to Moneta if you violate these Terms, misuse the app, or create security or legal risks.

You may stop using Moneta at any time and request account deletion.

13. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make significant changes, we will update the effective date and may notify users through the app or another appropriate method.

Continued use of Moneta after changes means you accept the updated Terms.
